Leveling

Confidant are leveled up by collecting points earned through interactions. Once collect enough points points to trigger a rank up event, the points number is reset to 0 so there is no point in spending extra time on other activities if it rank up is already possible for the Confidant.

Besides meetings, you can also earn confidant points by giving them gifts, consulting Mifune for affinity reading or visiting the shrine.

Some confidants are not leveled by meetings, but are progressed by story or by completing missions (see list below availability table).

Boost confidants

You can make ranking up faster by:

• having at least one Persona of the same Arcana as the confidant when you spend time with them (boost by 1.5)
• doing well on the shool exam - ranking up school confidants will be boosted by 1.5 if you score 1st place and by 1.2 if you are in top 10; boost will be in effect until the next exam week
• accepting confidants events without delays (by 1.2)
• if you spend 12/24 with a confidant you have a romantic relationship with, they give you an item, which will boost Persona with their Arcana bonus to x10 (item carries over to NG+)

Outings

Confidants will occasionally invite the Protagonist to some outings, which can be good occasion to collect some points. They will also sometimes appear in Leblanc and propose to spend time with them. The list of such events is available in Invitations section.

You will also be able to ask them to go out, which is one of the options to earn points required for a rank up.

• Ryuji Sakamoto

Confidants not leveled by meetings:

• Igor - progresses with story
• Morgana - progresses with story
• Sae Niijima - progresses with story, impacts ending
• Caroline & Justine - progressed by completing fusion requests
• Yuuki Mishima - progressed by completing Mementos requests
